NEGAUNEE, MI – Vince Norman Maino, 48, a longtime resident of Negaunee and more recently Eben Junction, passed away Tuesday afternoon, July 27, 2021, at UP Health System in Marquette.
Vince was born October 16, 1972 in Ishpeming, to Paul and Karen (Revord) Maino and graduated from Negaunee High School, class of 1990. He then obtained an associate’s degree in graphic design from Ferris State University and has started working at the Mining Journal. . Vince recently moved to the family farm in Eben Junction and worked as a butcher at Chatham Co-Op.
In his spare time, Vince enjoyed following and attending NASCAR races. He was also a staunch supporter of the Green Bay Packers and the Detroit Tigers. He loved to feed the deer and turkeys on the family farm and much preferred to feed the deer rather than slaughter them.
Vince was a proud organ donor, and two people will now be able to walk through life with the gift of sight.
Her parents, Paul and Karen from Negaunee, survive; brother, Bart Maino of Minnesota; sister, Tricia (Mark) Anderson of Negaunee; four nephews: Trevor and Andrew Maino, and Jacob and Peyton Anderson; great-nephew, Bash Anderson; and many uncles, aunts and cousins.
He was predeceased by his maternal grandparents, Norman and Ailee Revord; and his paternal grandparents, James and JosÃ©phine Maino.
Vince’s family would like to thank Al Stemen for being with Vince at a time when he was in dire need of a friend.
Vince’s family respects his wishes and does not organize public services. His remains will be scattered in his favorite place on Earth, his residence at Eben’s farm.
