Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi of Enugu State over the weekend endorsed the application made by the Oha Ibagwa-Aka community in the Igbo-Eze South local government area of the state for the establishment of the Ndioke Ibagwa Autonomous Community -aka.
Ugwuanyi gave his approval when the people of the Oha Ibagwa-Aka community visited him at Government House, Enugu to thank him for the appointment of their illustrious son Comrade (Dr) Peter Andy Omeje as Commissioner in his cabinet, as well as his “impressive and exemplary achievements in peacebuilding, security, infrastructure development, education, health, human resource development, empowerment women and young people”.
The people of Ibagwa-Aka also paid glowing tributes to Ugwuanyi for establishing the State University of Medical and Applied Sciences (SUMAS), Igbo-Eno, Enugu State, pointing out that the medical university is one of the milestone accomplishments that the governor will be. memorable for.
Speaking on behalf of the community, Prof. Ikenna Omeje said it was the first time in the history of Enugu State that an indigene of Ibagwa-Aka was appointed as Commissioner, expressing deep appreciation to Governor Ugwuanyi for breaking the jinx.
Omeje added that the residents of Ibagwa-Aka were also delighted with the ongoing road construction in the community, adding that they were impressed that the standard of the road project would stand the test of time.

Prof Omeje also told Governor Ugwuanyi, who is the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) candidate for Enugu North Senatorial District, that “you have freed us from our political suppressors” and declared their unanimous support for his candidacy. senatorial in 2023.
