Peabody students honored at AIC, Alabama, Clark, Hamilton, Stonehill

PEABODY, MA — These Peabody students were among those who recently earned academic or athletic honor at colleges, universities and schools across the country.

Lydia McGinn received a Bachelor of Arts from Hamilton College on May 22 at a commencement ceremony concluding the college’s 210th year.

Majoring in Art History and French and Francophone Studies, McGinn graduated summa cum laude with departmental honors in Art History and French and Francophone Studies.

McGinn completed an art history thesis titled “Anatomy as Ideology: Vaginal Hellmouths in Medieval Christian Europe” and a French and Francophone Studies thesis titled “Relational Identity: Defining the Self and the other through art.

The Lasell University Department of Athletics saw 110 laser student-athletes earn honors at the 2021-22 GNAC Academic Conference.

A league record 1,301 student-athletes were selected to this year’s GNAC University Conference Team. In order to be eligible for the All-Academic Conference, a student-athlete must maintain a 3.25 GPA and have achieved/completed sophomore academic status.

Among them were student-athletes from Peabody Sophie Rodriguez (Field hockey), Patrick Carbone (men’s athletics) and madison nerich (women’s athletics).

Dado Nasso was named to the Spring 2022 Dean’s List at American International College. Dean’s List students are full-time students who have achieved a GPA of 3.3 to 4.0.

Michael D’Iorio was named to the College of Charleston Spring 2022 President’s List. D’Iorio is majoring in mathematics.

To qualify for the President’s List (Highly Distinguished), students must earn a GPA of 3,800 or higher and complete a minimum of 14 semester hours.

Serena A.Laro was named to the Husson University President’s List for the Spring 2022 semester.

During the spring semester, Laro was enrolled in Husson’s Bachelor of Science in Biology and an undergraduate certificate program in Data Analytics.

Courtney A. Kline was among 1,700 students named to the University of Scranton’s Dean’s List for the 2022 spring semester. The Dean’s List recognizes students for academic excellence. A student must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.5 or better with a minimum number of credit hours during the semester to be on the Dean’s List. The list includes students from the Jesuit University College of Arts and Sciences, Kania School of Management and Panuska College of Professional Studies.

Kline is a junior criminal justice student in the University’s College of Arts and Sciences.

More than 2,000 Coastal Carolina University undergraduates have been named to the Dean’s List for the 2022 spring semester, including Mikaila Buckley, a major in psychology. Students who make the Dean’s List have achieved a GPA between 3.5 and 3.99 for the semester.

To be named to the Dean’s List at Plymouth State University, a student must achieve a GPA of between 3.5 and 3.69 in the Spring 2022 semester and must have attempted at least 12 hours credit during the semester.

Hailey Carroll and Tyler Serino deserved this distinction.

Isabelle Zermann was named to the University of Alabama President’s List for the Spring 2022 semester.

A total of 11,224 students enrolled in the 2022 spring semester at the University of Alabama have been named to the Dean’s List with an academic record of 3.5 (or higher) or the President’s List with a academic record of 4.0 (all A’s).

Micah Jones graduated from Cedarville University in the spring of 2022 with an undergraduate degree in multi-age music education.

Bailey Peicot and Chiara Salzillo earned a spot on Dean College’s Deans’ List for the Spring 2022 season.

Joshua Cerretani de Peabody has earned a spot on Dean College’s President’s List for the Spring 2022 semester.

Vermont Tech said Christopher Aylward graduated in the Class of 2022 and earned an Associate of Applied Science in Diesel Power Technology.

Benjamin T. Healey graduated from Clark University during the University’s 118th commencement exercises on May 22. Healey graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in English.

The Lasell University Collaboration Recognition Program was launched in 2021 as an opportunity to recognize students not only for their academic performance in a particular course, but for the collaborative behaviors that are key to success in professional environments. . This semester, 32 students were honored with a Collaboration Recognition Award, including Jaqueline Cordeiro and Brianna Ricker by Peabody.

Recipients of the Collaboration Recognition Award are selected by their peers for exemplifying superior collaboration skills by sharing helpful ideas and information, communicating professionally, and cooperating in ways that ensure success.

Ricker completed a Capstone research project as part of his work in the university’s prestigious honors program.

Ricker created cyanotypes, a type of photographic print, for his Honors Capstone component. She considered the whole aspect of the art form and took the opportunity to explore the creative process with an older art medium.

Students named to the Dean’s List at Assumption University must achieve a cumulative grade point average of 3.5 for a semester of five classes and 15 credits to be included in the prestigious list, which is announced at the end of the fall semesters and spring. Peabody students include:

Peabody students who have achieved this distinction are Lauren Boulanger, Shane Braz, Mikaila Dragicevic, Kirsten Tennihan, Nicole Thomas, Rachel Fernandes, Victoria Lombardi, Benjamin Winters, Shelby Sweetie, Madelyne Lomasney, Theodore Wilson and Justin Saslaw.
