The Katahdin Valley Boys, a bluegrass band from Maines, will return to Vienna Union Hall at 7 p.m. on Saturday, May 21, at 5 Vienna Mountain Road, Vienna.
The band is made up of four members who all spin the lead vocals and provide tight harmonies and flowing solos. The KatahdinValley Boys were honored as recipients of the Bluegrass Band of the Year award for 2012 by the Maine Country Music Association and in 2008, 2009 and 2011 by the Maine Academy of Country Music. Each member brings many years of experience and professional showmanship with a traditional, hard-hitting Bluegrass sound. Dan Simons from Vienna is a seasoned musician who plays bluegrass mandolin, sings lead and harmonic vocals and is a talented guitarist.
