Opening of the exhibition

“Transition,” an art exhibition to benefit High Peaks Hospice during the month of January. Representatives will be at the gallery on Friday, January 7 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. to welcome visitors and launch the auctions. Masks are mandatory in the gallery. The Adirondack Artists Guild, 52 Main Street, Saranac Lake, 518 891-2615. Each member will present one or two pieces in a silent auction for visitors to bid on. At the end of the month, Hospice will notify the top bidders of their winnings.

The show will be posted on the Artists Guild website. Those wishing to bid can call the gallery at 518-891-2615 to place bids during opening hours. Visitors to the gallery can bid in person. There will be no official reception for the show. Starting in January, the gallery’s opening hours are Wednesday to Saturday 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. and 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sunday. The Guild is on Facebook, Instagram and the web at www.adirondackartistsguild.com.

12th night celebration 2:00 PM The Adirondack Senior and Junior Liturgical Dance Troupe will host a celebration commemorating the visit of the Magi to Bethlehem at the United Methodist Church, 127 Beekman St., Plattsburgh. The concert concludes the celebration of holiday traditions through song, dance, instruments and prose.

In addition to the dancers, renowned musician Nate Pultorak, National Champion dulcimer, will perform during the concert with other musicians. Masks and social distancing instructions will be in effect for the concert. For more information, call 518-335-7385. Admission is free, but donations are accepted for church mission projects.
