Glen Carbon public works manager moves on

GLEN CARBON – Friday was Jennifer Doody’s last day of work as Glen Carbon’s Director of Public Works.

In a letter dated September 17 to the mayor of Glen Carbon, Robert Jackstadt, Doody resigned. In her letter, she said she had “a wonderful opportunity to serve my home community of Jerseyville while helping Illinois-American Water become the owner and operator of the city’s water and sewer system.”

She said she felt better prepared to face the challenges of her next position and looked forward to maintaining all the wonderful friendships she made in the village. She was director of public works for at least two years.

She began her engineering career in 1996 with the Illinois Department of Natural Resources, joining the City of North Las Vegas in July 2001 as a Senior Engineer in the Development and Flood Control Division of the Department of Natural Resources. public works and was eventually promoted to Development Manager. and the Flood Control Division prior to accepting the Glen Carbon position.

She holds a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Bradley University and a master’s certificate in public administration from the University of Nevada-Las Vegas.
