Posted: Wednesday September 29 2021
The American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) is pleased to announce that the first journal of its Science Partner Journal (SPJ) program, Research, is now indexed in Web of Science: Science Citation Index Expanded (SCIE). The journal is expected to receive its first Impact Factor Journal in the June 2022 issue of Journal Citation Reports.
The journal was previously included in the Emerging Sources Citation Index (ESCI) and after 3 years of publishing high quality content, it will move to SCIE. This is a milestone for the journal, which is published in association with the Science and Technology Review Publishing House, under the leadership of the China Science and Technology Association (CAST). The inclusion of Research in SCIE underlines the journal’s commitment to publishing high-quality, high-impact open access content. In addition to SAW, Research is also indexed in CAS, CNKI, CSCD, DOAJ, Ei Compendex, Inspec, PMC and Scopus.
Research was launched in 2018, releasing its first content in August of the same year. The journal publishes original multidisciplinary work reflecting innovative findings and important issues in the life and physical sciences as well as in engineering and applied sciences. Articles published since its launch have covered tunable / reconfigurable metasurfaces, portable / implantable electronics, COVID-19 meta-analysis, and perspective face masks. As an extension of AAAS ‘commitment to open access publishing, the content of the journal is released under a Creative Commons Attribution License (CC BY), on an ongoing basis.
âWe are delighted that Research, the first partner scientific journal, has been accepted for inclusion in the Multidisciplinary Science category of SCIE, âsaid Bill Moran, editor of the Science family of journals at AAAS. âThe partnership between AAAS and CAST has produced a journal that publishes hard-hitting research for all to read and we are delighted to see the growing recognition of Research and its high quality content. We look forward to the continued success of the journal under the leadership of Editors Tianhong Cui and Wei Huang. “
âIt’s great news that our journal is now indexed in SCIE. This is an important step for ResearchEditor-in-chief Tianhong Cui said. “On behalf of the editorial board of Research I would like to thank all the authors, reviewers, readers and academic editors for their great support. Special thanks also to all the editors and staff of CAST and AAAS. We will continue to make our efforts to better serve the research community around the world. “
