The Employee Provident Fund Organization (EPFO) recently added around 14.81 lakh of subscribers in August 2021.
Provisional payroll data reflects an increasing trend in net payroll for the first five months of the current fiscal year. EPFO recently published a notice to its members via a social media tweet.
By launching an alert, the EPFO ââadvised its members to beware of fraudsters lurking in cyberspace. “EPFO never requests personal information such as Aadhaar, PAN, UAN, bank account, OTP by phone, social media and WhatsApp,” EPFO ââtweeted.
The social security body further clarified that it never asked PF and other members to deposit money on social media platforms. On the contrary, people should never answer such calls and messages, he added.
Members can visit the Grievance Portal at https://epfigms.gov.in to obtain redress for any type of grievance related to Employee Provident Fund services.

Members can also contact the toll free number 1-800-118-005. People can also benefit from EPF services on the UMANG app, a digital platform that offers employee-centric services.
