County to host voter education workshops



Stanislaus County Registrar of Electors is hosting a series of voter education workshops in nine cities, including Turlock. The workshops will cover options for voting in future elections and issues regarding voter registration, postal voting and the electoral process.

“Voters have many questions, and this is a chance for them to get answers and have hands-on experience with the voting accessibility equipment and the Voting app accessible remotely by mail,” a said Maria Rocha, head of elections for Stanislaus County.

The Turlock Workshop will be held at 6 p.m. on January 11 in the Turlock Library Community Hall, 550 N. Minaret Ave.

The other dates and places of the workshops are:

January 6 at the Sainte-Françoise Catholic Church in Rome, 2827 Topeka Street, Riverbank

January 12 at the Waterford Community Center, 540 C St., Waterford

January 18 at LJ Newman Memorial Building, 649 Orestimba Rd., Newman

January 19 at the Stanislaus Veterans Center Banquet Hall, 3500 Coffee Rd., Modesto

January 25 at Ceres American Legion Hall, 2609 Lawrence St., Ceres

January 31 at Gene Bianchi Community Center, 110 S. 2nd St., Oakdale

February 1 at Hughson Community Senior Center, 2307 4th St., Hughson

February 8 at City Hall Board Chambers, 1 Plaza, Patterson
