Stepping up its action against corrupt officials, Vigilance detectives on Thursday raided the homes of several government officials and unearthed properties of disproportionate value to their known sources of income.
During a house search on Thursday, detectives unearthed assets worth over Rs 2.51 crore belonging to the division’s deputy executive engineer Nayagarh Ranapur RD.
Likewise, the anti-corruption wing has traced properties worth over Rs 1.3 crore belonging to the section officer of the Subarnapur Collector’s office during a raid.
Sambalpur Paramanpur RI was detained by detectives when he allegedly accepted a bribe of Rs 15,000.

Likewise, RI from Dudhari circle in Semliguda Tehsil in Koraput district was allegedly caught in the act of accepting a bribe of 10,000 rupees.
Recently, the Odisha government ordered the mandatory retirement of eight other officers on Friday, including three from the Odisha Administrative Services (OAS). The state has so far taken action against 130 babus for corruption and inefficiency.
