INKSTER, MI – Two suspects have been arrested and charged with felony charges in connection with the February shooting death of an Inkster man.

Inkster soldiers and police responded to a shooting around 1 a.m. on February 11 in the 400 block of Tobin Drive in Inkster, Michigan State Police Metro Detroit said.

After an investigation, police confirmed that a 20-year-old Inkster man died at the scene as a result of a fatal shooting. While the next of kin have been notified, state police have not released the victim’s name.

Detectives spent the next two weeks searching for suspects and determining the cause of the shooting, police said.

Warrants were issued last week for the arrest of two suspects, according to Wayne County Circuit Court records.

On March 1, Archie McQueen, 17, was apprehended and brought to trial in 22nd Inkster District Court on single counts of murder, armed robbery and conspiracy to commit theft at gunpoint.

On March 6, 21-year-old Raequan Williams was also apprehended and brought to trial in 22nd District Court on the same three counts. He and McQueen are both incarcerated in Wayne County Jail, police said.

Other legal proceedings have yet to be scheduled, according to circuit court records.
